back after passing Cape Cod. 'l’lie petrol supply is thought to have hcen exhausted. Another message says that the Dawn was due at Harbour (trace at seven this morning and is not yet reported. It carried a crow of four and Frank Koehler as mechanic. NEW YORK, Dec. 25. Airmen sent to search for -Mrs Grayson’s trans-Atlantic machine, tie Dawn, returned to-night and reported that they saw or heard nothing of the missing fliers. LONDON, Dec. 23. Hopes that Mrs Grayson might unexpectedly have decided to make a non-stop flight across the Atlantic, direct from Now York, were- shattered when it was announced from Croydon aerodrome that no wireless reports had been received, indicating that the fliers were headed for Europe.
