Colonel Duncan, President of the Scottish Rugby Union, in a speech at a dinner io the NVaratalis, said it would be long before they saw a hotter match than Saturday’s, which was played from start to finish in the best of spirit The loss was no disgrace. The Scottish captain paid a tribute to the Waratalis’ sportsmanship and Jack Ford’s fine display. J. Aikinan Smith (Scottish representative of the International Board) proposed the toast of Shaw, who had fired him with a desire to visit New South Wales. The dinner was most enjoyable. Lawton commandeered some bagpipes, playing round the banquet hall, 3Valhicc following carrying a dish of liaggis.
