MONDAY, DECEMBER 19th. The Board met at 2.3!) p.m. Present;—Hoii. H. L. Michel (Chairman). Messrs J. King, T. W. Duff, J. A. Murdoch. An apology ‘for ah'"110.0 was received from Mr A. Clifton. The minutes were confirmed and out ward co rrespon dc 11 oe a p proved. INWARD CORRESPONDENCE. The Treasurer reported receipts for the year £319 19s lid.—Received. Tt was resolved to press for payment of outstanding rent on a portion of the reserve, the Secretary and Chairman being empowered to take necessary action. The Auditor-General returned tho balance sheet for the year ended 31st March, 1926, duly certified to—Received. From Ivu m ara Borough Council notifying appointment of I. A\ . Butt as representative of the Kumara Borough.—Received. From Returned Soldiers Association applying for an extended lease of reserve on which the Soldiers Hall stands. —Received; left- to the Chairman, Messrs King and Murdoch to deal with. From Auckland Grammar School opposing suggestion for cancellation of education hoards—Received. From A. Clifton, .Rimu, acknowledging letter of condolence—Received . . Accounts as scheduled were passed for payment. The Chairman icvongrat mated the Recton (Mr Partridge), who was present, and the members of the staff on the success of the past year. Mr Partridge thanked the Chairman for his complimentary references and then submitted proposals in gard to the Board’s scholarships. Ihe details as suggested by the Rector wore approved and it was resolved to give two scholarships of £2O per year each, for two years, for country schol-
