On Tuesday, 27th December, mails for G'reymouth Christchurch and the North Island will close at 7.45 a.m. A mail for Wait alia will also close at 7.45 a.m. Afails usually despatched on Alonday for country offices will go forward on Wednesday, the 28th December. On Saturday 24th December, (Xmas Eve and the 31st (New Year’s Eve) a delivery of letters including registered will be made from the counter (public) from 7.30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Hours of attendance, 261 li .December:—Post Office, closed; Telegraph. 7 p.m. to Bp.m.; Telephone Exchange, coniimious attendance.
