In the Commons, Sir Locker Lampson, in answer to a question, said neither Britain nor Japan had anywise suggested returning to the AngloiJnpanese alliance. Mr Baldwin being asked whether in view of the Dominions increasing protection to secondary industries, he would consider the desirability of iliter-imperial agreements permitting parts of the Empire to specialise in certain industries, replied that this would he only attainable by negotiations within the industries themselves.
