The AVaratahs lost the second game of the tour and their last match in Wales. The AVaratahs’ entire team was below normal form. Pontypool forwards dominated the game throughout the first half, the AVaratahs never touting near scoring Postypool’s score in this half was a long penalty goal. The visitors livened after the interval and scored a try but this was their only successful effort against Pontypool’s superb tackling and general defence.
