KAURI TIMBER COY. MELBOURNE, Dec. 8. The report and balance sheet presented at the annual meeting of the Kauri Timber Coy. for the year ended August 31st. shows profits (after providing for depreciation and paying income tax and other charges) were £30.172, of which, plus the amount brought forward, make a total of £48.220, less interest. A dividend of three per cent, was paid in June last, absorbing £22.500. leaving £25,750. Out of this sum it is proposed to pay a further dividend of three per cent, making six per cent, for the year, and absorbing £22.500. balance of £3220 is carried forward. The directors’ report states unfavourable trading conditions have continued throughout the year. The conservative policy followed during the pro" prosperous years, however, justified them in recommending a dividend at a reduced rate of six per cent per annum.
NATIONAL BANK DIVIDEND. WELLINGTON. Doc. 8. Ttie National Bank of Now Zealand has received a cable from London, advising that the Directors have declared an interim dividend of twelve per cent per annum for the half-year ended 30th September. This is the same as for the corresponding period last year.
