PARLIAMENTARY.
(By Telegraph—Per Press Association. THE COUNCIL. WELLINGTON, Nov. 28. The Legislative Council met at 2.30 p.m. The Native Land Amendment and Native Lands Claims Adjustment Bill and Reserves and Other Lands Disposal Bill were reported from Committees without amendments. Amendments proposed by the Covnor General in the local Legislation Bill were reported without amendment from the standing committee and agreed to. •Progress was reported on the Education reserves Amendent Bill, after a brief discussion in committee. The Council adjourned at 2.55. p.m. in order to listen to Hon. L. S. Amery's address in the House. The Council adjourned until 11. a.m. next day.
THE HOUSE. The afternoon session of the House took the form of a private sitting to listen to an address by the Hon. L. S. Amery on Foreign Affairs policy. The Insurance Companies’ Deposits Amendment Bill, Public Works Amendment Bill and two local bills, were passed. The House rose at 11.10 till 3.30 next day.
