A high official of the Ford Company at Detroit, .states Fordson and Highland Park plants will employ 140,000 men bv Christmas producing two thousand new ears daily. OBITUARY. (Received this day at 9 a.m.) VANCOUVER, Nov. 25. Air Richard E. Jamieson, aged six-ty-one, managing director of the Gregory Tyre Company, Vancouver, died on Thursday of acute gastritis, aboard the motor ship Aorangi, nearing Honolulu. He was buried at sea. He was on a business trip, hound for New Zealand. ROME, Nov. 26. The death is announced of the Papal Secretary, Cardinal Benzani.
TAHITI CAPTAIN’S STATEMENT, SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 25.
Captain Aldwell, of the Tahiti, upon arrival here to-day. declined to discuss the collision beyond stating that at the time of the accident his vessel was proceeding at the usual speed in passing out of the harbour and that he did not expect a decision fixing responsibility for the tragedy until after the return of the Tahiti to Australia.
