(Australia./ & N.Z. Cable Associate IRISH LOAN. (Received this day at 9.30 a.m.) DUBLIN, Nov. 15. The Free State will shortly issue a seven million five per cent loan on similar terms to that of 1924. It is at present quoted at 96g, which is 1$ premium. QUEENSLAND STATIC ENTERPRISES. BRISBANE, Nov. IC. The Auditor-General, in his annual report on State enterprises states tho total sum written off for losses, etc., lias been nearly £809,000 sterling, hut from this should be deducted payments to the consolidated revenue of £62,000 leaving the nett sum of £746,000 and if the aecumu-. lated losses are added to the total, the nett loss to date was £1,003,000. The seven State enterprises wore indehted to the Treasury to the amount of £1,703,000. If this were added to the amounts written off there was a sum of £2,459,000 which represented the nett investment of Treasury funds at 30th June last in the whole of the cnterpdiscs. The capital cost of each enterprise was treated as a loan from the Treasury with interest at five per cent for forty years, which must be considered very favourable, as the Treasury did not raise the money at five per cent.

INQUEST VERDICT. GISBORNE, Nov. 16. A verdict that death resulted from a dislocated neck, caused by a blow from the fly-wheel of a shearing engine, was returned at the inquest on John Rawe Brown, a five-year-old boy, killed in the engine-room of the shearing shed at AVhatatutu. Deceased had been playing about the wool-shed during the shearing.
