The Mortgage Indemnity (Workers’ ( barges) Amendment Hill and (Toperty Daw Amendment Mill was read a second time pro forma and relerrod to the Statutes. Revision Committee. Dunedin City Corporation empowering Amendment Hill and Wellington City and Suburban 11 ighways Construction and lliitt Rond Amendment Hill were passed. The Council adjourned al 2.hi p.m. until 2.30 p.m. to-morrow. THE HOUSE. In the House the following hills were introduced and read a first time: Valuation of Land Amendment; Howard Estate Amendment ; Education Amendment. The-Minister of Public Works moved the second reading ol the Motor Spirits Taxation Hill, which after a lengthy debate was agreed to. The first clause was put through committee and the House rose at 2 a.in. till 2.30 p.m.
