The Council adjourned al 2.hi p.m. until 2.30 p.m. to-morrow. THE HOUSE. In the House the following hills were introduced and read a first time: Valuation of Land Amendment; Howard Estate Amendment ; Education Amendment. The-Minister of Public Works moved the second reading ol the Motor Spirits Taxation Hill, which after a lengthy debate was agreed to. The first clause was put through committee and the House rose at 2 a.in. till 2.30 p.m.
