FOUND DEAD
It was reported to the Police at Kanieri this morning that William SRiffrey had been found dead in his bedroom at his sister’s (Mrs C. Pfahlert) house at Kanieri. He was found hanging from n hook on the wall behind a door, and had been apparently dead for some hours.
The deceased was a single man about 50 years of fcge, and was a son of the late Mr Shaffrey, a former well known resident of Revell street. The deceased was of an eccentric nature, and was a well known figure about
awn. An inquest is to be jielrl to-morrow
