STATEMENT FOR SEPTEMBER
The following particulars of the loan transactions of the Public i rust Office and new business reported during the month ended 30th September, 1927, have been supplied by the Prime Minister
The amount paid out in settlement n> new loans was £211.283, making a total of £1,437,927' since the beginning ol the present financial year on Ist April last.
Further new loans to tho amount of £99,391! were granted, making the total of new loans awaiting settlement £050.151, while offers of loans less than the full advances applied lor amount to £211,350 —n grand totiil of £801.501. Applications for additional new loans amounting to £342,488 arc receiving attention.
New estates accepted for administration were of a total value of £121.091. and tho total new business for the first half of the current financial year exceeds three million pounds—a record figure. Additional new wills deposited for safe custody numbered 505. and the total now held is 55,811.
