The Use of hydrogen gas instead of helium caused an explosion resulting in the destruction of Japan’s biggest, and latest navy dirigible, No. ;!. during manoeuvres, There was only one casualty out of the crew ei seven alumni. When the explosion occurred the airship was almost stationary. facing a gale with engines going at lull speed and a spark eomniiinieabod with the hydrogen.
