AUSTRALIAN NEWS.
(By Telegraph—Bor Press Association. STOLEN MAIL. SYDNEY, Oct. 21. On the arrival in Australia of the steamer Cathay, it was found that some registered mail had been stolen. It is believed the thieves made a good haul. The Postal Department considers the robbery was committed by experts. They had to ascertain whether it was worked aboard the liner or before the mails were shipped at .Marseilles. It is reported that the New Zealand mail was part of that stolen.
