WIRELESS WONDERS PROMISED London, Oct. is.
The “Daily Mail” publishes a, wireless from the Atlantic liner, “Borengaria,” sent by Mr Kelleway, (former Postmaster-General) who is on'route to England. He declares that wireless messages will shortly be charged per square inch, they being sent thus as commonly as the selling of butter by the pound, A facsimile message will be transmitted at unprecedented speed. HO siiys that a commercial Anglo-Canadian beam service will start in December. RADIO NEWS SERVICE. WASHINGTON, Oct. 18.
At the Radio Conference a proposal was adopted by tho Committee on Tariffs permitting tho exchange of news messages between ships and coastal stations, irrespective of nationality, and the opening cf marine radio services for tlie press. A Netherlands proposal was ntnetided to permit the transmission of shell press messages, subject to a mutual arrangement regarding rates between the Governments and operating companies. This (action will not affect services between fixed points now regulated by contracts.
