SMUGGLED ALIENS. NEW YORK, Aug. 10. An international ring, with its headlinin'tors in Hiirnburg and having for its object the smuggling of aliens into the United States, has been discovered through the co-operation of American and Canadian inspectors. The ring issued counterfeit “consular visas” to permit a passage through the United States, ostensibly to some Canadian destination. Eleven Italians, all with counterfeitvisas to take them to Hamilton (Ontario), have I wen arrested, and an order has been made for their deportation. Five of them admitted paying from £2O to £IOO each for forged documents, hut tlie other six insist that they obtained the visas through regular channels. Seven of the Italians arrived last week in a German, vessel, and the other four came from Havre, in a French steamer - . - —•
