Fengtein general attack, with the object of subjecting Shansi rebels lias been launched on three fronts, Kinlmii, Kinsue, and Lunglmi railways ami is reported to lie progressing favourably. fifteen hundred Shansi, guerillas were discovered within Fengtein lines, having intended a surprise attack on Peking. They were betrayed jnnd massacred-1 The ,Shansi army is reported to be crumbling.
