A. iMilani and other friends of Arthur Goebel, winner of San Fran-eisco-Hawaii Dole flight are planning a flight for Goebel from California to Australia, next spring. Milani says the necessary finance is already | assured. Goebel is anxious to g<>, lmt a long, careful preparation will be made to avoid any possibility of disaster. Ho will probably not be ready until April or May. An Amphibian plane will bo used, but the exact type is not- decided. The route will include Honolulu, but subsequent points' t>f call remain to be determined byThe pilot and navigator.

HOPPING OFF. (Received this day at 11 0 a.m.) NEW YORK, Oct. 11. The American Girl, a single-engined monoplane, carrying Miss Ruth Elder and Captain George Haldemann, copilots, hopped off from Roosevelt field for a non-stop flight to Paris, via Maine coast, and Nova Scotia, following Lindbergh’s route. NEW YORK, Oct. 11. Kingsford Smith’s plane is wingin its way over a 700-inilcs journey to San Francisco, carrying 550 gallons, loaded at Tacoma, sufficient for eighteen hours sustained flying. Smith is doubtful if lie will arrive at Frisco before dark, owing to the weather. The total weight is 10,500 pounds. Lieut. George Pond, an American, is piloting the machine with Smith. Three mechanics are carreid. The plane performed perfectly on a fortymile trip from Seattle.
