THE ALL BLACKS. Wellington, o<t, s. The Now Zealand Rugby Union has now gone as far as it fs able in the matter of the despatch of the All Black team for South Africa, stated Air S. S. Dean, chairman of the Afanagement Committee, to-day. An Outfitting Committee had been appointed and the measurements of each man taken, while the nature of the out. fits to lie provided had been determined. The Union would he able to have the team ready in ample time. i

It was possible that the selectors might announce the- names of the emergencies chosen for the team. I hese had not yet been supplied to the Management Committee, but should be available at its next meeting.

Asked if the controlling body intended to limit the presentations to players, as in 192-1, and to require that affiliated Inions obtain permission from the parent Union before making any presentation to an All Black, Air Dean replied that this matter would be considered by the New Zealand Union after tbe terms of the tour had been finalised. It would have been more fitting for the union to have declined to forward a team not truly representative of New Zealand as a united Alaori-European people.” The above resolution will be forwarded to the union. Some of the members slrongly commented on the matter. The ALtoiis had done much to stiiTen up football in New Zealand, it was pointed out, and some of the finest footballers the world had ever seen were Alaoris.
