THIRTEEN YEARS IN CELLAR. WARSAW, Oct, 5.
Searching the house of an eccentric widow' named Rosenberg, the police found held a prisoner in tlie cellar a nude, emaciated and insane eighteen year old girl, who disappeared thirteen years ao. The police say that they have proof that she has been fed since only on raw potatoes. The woman ltosenber violently resisted arrest.
SOVIET COJIMISSAR. MURDERED. LONDON, Oct. 5. The Central News Agency’s Warsaw correspondent states: A message from Leningrad reports that the Soviet Military Commissar, Sergevitch, has been murdered by an unknown man. There have been a number of arrests. A DRASTIC REPRISAL. LONDON, Oct. 0. The Warsaw correspondent of “The Times” reports that twenty Lithuanians, ten of whom are priests, have been arrested, and forty-five Lithuanian schools have been closed at Vilnn, as a reprisal to the Lithuanian’s recent acts, causing an entire cessation of educational activities.
