THE HOUSE. AYE BEING TON. Oct. 4. The House met last night at 7.30 o’clock. The Crown Land Loans Amendment was introduced and read a first time. I he Apprentices Amendment Bill also was introduced and read a first time. The Prime Minister then moved that the House go into Committee of Supply to consider the estimates. This was agreed to at 12.1 d a.m. when the following estimates were passed:— Lands Department, £169,532; Discharged Soldiers Settlements, £39,995: Lands for Settlement Account, £3,441 i? 1 !; Scenery Preservation. £4,800; Valuation Department, £49,421 ; Industries and Commerce, £34.910. 'flic House rose at 1.20 till 2.30 p.m.
