ALL SAINTS TENNIS CLUB
The annual' general meeting of the All Saints’ Tennis Club was held at the pavilion last evening. A large number of members and intending members attended. Owing to the unavoidable absence of Rev. Perkins, Air J. R. Ward occupied the chair. The annual report and balance sheet was read and adopted.
Prior to the election of officers, AltWard announced that it would he necessary to find another Secretary, on account of the resignation of Mrs R. Paterson. Air Ward eulogised Airs Paterson’s energies for the Club during the years in which she had been Secretary, and her resignation was received with very deep regret. The election of officers took place, with tho following result:—
President: Rev. J. Perkins (re-elect-ed). Vice-Presidents: .Messrs D. J. Evans, W. E. Wii'iiams, H. AI. Coulson, J. B. Ward, and Hon. H. L. Michel fall reelected). Treasurer: Air J. B. AVarcl (re-elect-ed). Secretary: Mi- AY. Clietwynd. Committee: Aliases E. Knight, A. Stapleton, N. Blair and Afessrs A. Thompson, L. Butlnnd and AI. King. Considerable discussion on matters of interest to ensued, and by the enthusiasm wEewn at the meeting, a most successful season is anticipated. Fourteen new mem leers were nominated and accepted.' The date of tlie opening day was fixed as the Bth October (weather permitting). Various matters were left for the action of the incoming Committee. A hearty vote of thanks to the chair brought the meeting to a close.
