(Australian & N.Z. Cable Association.) N.Z. CRICKETERS SAIL. LONDON, Sept. 20. The New Zealanders had a surprise farewell, Lord and Lady Blades entertaining them at breakfast at Mansion House. It was a lightning affair, the cricketers dashing from AYest End and hurrying back to pack up, then entraining at Victoria Station. Lord Blades toaStipg the team, said before the team , came they were inclined to appreciate New Zealand football! more than cricket.* You treated us to a wonderful game at Lords, spectators thereafter being on tenterhooks. Von have shown us how to play in the public interest and it was welcome. He said like all other Englishman he was impressed with the sportsmanlike cricket of the New Zealanders. They welit for the bowling throughout, full of grit and determination. Afr Tiny, responding, in the absence of Mr Lowry, who was indisposed, said they did not intend to lapse into slow cricket when they returned. The Lord Mayor, Lord Jellicoe, Lord Hawke and Lord Harris fareweVled the team at Victoria Station.
