Signor Scianloja (Italy) and the other loaders’ struggle over the attempt to resurrect the principles of the Geneva Protocol continues behind closed doors. Lord Onslow is leading the British Empire direct attack upon the Protocol, but Germany i.s also seeking the same end, bv other means.
DRUGS QUESTION. (Received this day at 9.30 a.m.) GENEVA. Sept. '2O. Europe, America and the Far East aro deluged with drugs, declared Lord Lytton in the Assembly. No single nation can cope with the evil. The Assembly adopted a resolution expressing the hope that the nations will favourably consider Persia’s condition for removal of restrictive tariffs on Persian products, necessary for the abolition of poppy cultivation there.
