Mr Bollard's death, when the executive adjourned till Tuesday afternoon. Dr W. H. Horton, chairman of the Auckland Provincial Council, made the following interesting observations this morning in discussing the present poli-

One factor, however, is very deiinite, and that is the Liberal party. The alignment of forces under the Liberal flag is most determined, and in spite of the reports in a large percentage of the newspapers during the past fortnight. mobilisation of Forces. and concentration of effort are proceeding wi th effect.

“Special interest is aroused by the coming Raglan contest, seeing that the published policy of the Liberal and Farmers’ organisations are almost identical, but you can he sure that within the next few davs an official announcement will be made of the commence of a vigorous Liberal campaign.” -
