CHINESE TROUBLE.
(Australian A N.Z. Cable Association.) POSITION IN CHINA. SHANGHAI. Sept. 17. The military situation in China is quiet. A conference between representatives of the Hankow and Nanking Governments has commenced, hut little has been accomplished yet, owing to the unexpected resignation of XVang Cluing XVei, the Chief of the Centra 1 Executive Committee of the Kuoniintang, at the eleventh hour. It is believed the remaining delegates wiil proceed with the conference, which originally was planned in order to unite Hankow and Nanking.
