(Australian & N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, Sept. 17. In the Irish elections, President Cosgrave headed the poll for Cork City. The former Lord Mayor of Cork, Air French, a Republican, was second. The Labour Leader. Mr Johnson, has been defeated in Dublin County. DE VALERA’S GAINS. LONDON, Sept, 17. In North Dublin, General Alulachy (Government candidate). Air Alfred Byrne (Independent) and James Larkin Independent Labour) were elected. In South Dublin, for which there are seven seats. Air S. Lamass,(Alr Do Valera’s Chief Party *iigent), Doctor Henessy, and Afi' J. XV. Beckett (Government candidate) were elected.

Alt' Blythe (the Free State Allinister of Finance) headed the poll in County Alonaghan. Air Frank Aitken (who is Air Do Valera's Chief Lieutenant) topped the list in County Louth, displacing the Ministerialist who was elected there in June. Captain AVm. Archer Redmond wm elected for XVaterl'ord. where two of the Do Valeraites and one Alinisterinlist have been returned.
