FOOTBALL.
On Cass Square to-morrow afternoon the second last game of the Junior Knockout Competition takes place at 3 o’clock, when Kxeelsior A. meets Itimu. The winners will play Kokatalii on the following Saturday to decide which team will hold the Breeze Shield for the year. An interesting game should result. At “Westport to-morrow a trial match takes place between combined teams representing West Coast and Duller against combined teams of Marlborough, Nelson and Bays districts. Selectors for the South Island will be present to watch the play with a view to possible selection of players for next season’s South African tour.
