NEW ZEALAND TEAM AT HOME. AGAINST LEVESON GOWER'S ELEVEN. (Australian & N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, Sept. 10. The New Zealand cricketers’ last match of their tour in England started to-day against Leveson-Gower’s eleven. The visitors produced exhilarating cricket.

The New Zealanders’ hatting all day in brilliant fashion, scored nearly four hundred runs for the loss 'of only five wickets.

Dempster and Mills opened the innings. The former, alter scoring half a century, was bowled when the total was 91.

Blunt then joined Mills and hatted finely, though he was missed when twelve, and had other narrow escapes before he finally returned one to the bowler. He quickly caught and passed the Auckland man, and was well over the century when he was sent hack to the pavilion just on the tea adjournment. Mills had just reached the hundred exactly and the pair had added two hundred and seven runs for the second wicket, the total then being two hundred and ninety-eight. Blunt hit eighteen fours. Mills was more deliberate than his partner and made no mistake throughout the day, remaining unbeaten when stumps were drawn, with one hundred and forty-eight on, after having hatted altogether two hundred and ninety minutes.

On Blunt's departure. Dacre joined Mills, .hut he did not slay long, nor did Alhott, hut Rage made a hotter stand and helped to bring tlie total near to the fourth century before he was dismissed.
