Mr Work (Secretary of the Interior;, addressing the American Bar Association at Buffalo, declared that over production of oil in the United States had reached proportions of a national disaster, injuring millions who have wealth invested in oil properties, and depleting the natural resources, which never can be replaced. Work said the oil industry was sick, and therefore repentant, ■ asking for help. Constructive statesmanship was plainly needed and the timo was ripe for action.
