WEST COAST TOURNAMENT, WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON. The following qualified for tbe Men’s Championship: —Chesney, McCarthy 176. A. Tv. Smith ISS, Meldrum-186. fjovell, Foote 192, Partridge 193. Revel) and Hammond 195 play off for eighth place. In the afternoon Medal Match, Adamson proved tho winner with a net score of 74. I n the Ladies’ Bogey Handicap. Miss Tulloch was the winner, one up. The day on the Links yesterday was most succosseful. The. beautiful weather combined with the good state of the playing field made the conditions very pleasant, and all hud a very pleasant time, excepting for-the cold southerly in the late afternoon. The general arrangements for the competition proves! most satisfactory and everything passed off very enjoyable. THURSDAY, AUGUST 25th. MEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP. The following remain in the men’s championship:—Chesney, McCarthy, A. K. Smith. Meldrum. The semifinal will be played this afternoon. LADIES CHAMPIONSHIP. The following remain in the ladies championship:—Mrs Slee, Mrs Bird, Miss Tulloch. Mrs Fletcher.
