WEST COAST RUCBY UNION. The weekly meeting of the AVest Coast. Rugby Union was held last evening at Greymoulh. A letter was received from the Canterbury T'uion confirming next Saturday’s date for match, Canterbury v. West Coast, at Hokitika. It was resolved to wire By Her Union suggesting September 10th for flic match at Greymoiith, in lieu of September 3rd. the former date being the
final day of Shopping Week at Grevlnouth. The Inangalma Onion were advised that Rule 0, Newman Shield Rules, was altered on 13th April. 192(1. It was resolved to send a letter of appreciation to Mr A. Colvin for attending Seddon Shield Conference on behalf of AV.C.R.E. All arrangements were completed for the AVest Coast School team’s visit to Christchurch*. The team leaves on Thursday under Air Wilson, arid play the first match on Friday morning. On Saturday they play Canterbury Schools as a curtain raiser to the Can-terbury-Tnrannki match, and on Monday, the final match will ho played against the champion Christchurch School.
The Star Club were requested to mvard an explanation for not fulfill-
mg engagement last Saturday. A motion of condolence was earned, and a letter of sympathy was ordered to he sent to the relatives of flic Into S. J. Oxenham. It was resolved that the Hokitika Suti-Union make all arrangements for accommodation for Canterbury team, who will arrive in Hokitika on Thursday evening next, also arrange for gatekeepers, and advertise match in Hokitika paper. It was resolved to approach private ear owners with a view to taking the Canterbury reps, for a run on Sunday next. AA’est Coast v. Canterbury, at TTokitina, 3 p.m. AVnrd was received that Golden Bay would arrive here on Monday next, and play AVest Const at Greymoiith on AVed nesdav a fternoon.
