(By Telegraph—Per Press Association. SYDNEY, Aug. 21. At the Stadium, Tiger Payne knocked out Johnny Squires, heavyweight champion of South Africa, in the first round. Payne fought wildly, missing frequently, hilt shortly before the end ol the round connected with a heavy right to the jaw and knocked him out.
