BUDGET DEBATE CLOSES. 11Y TELKCHAPH—PKESB ASSN., COI’YRKinT. WELLINGTON, Aug. 17. The House met at 2.30 p.m. 'Fhe debate on the Budget was resumed by Mr Lysnar, Sir J. Luke, lion J. G. Coates, Mr H. Holftuid (Christchurch North), and was then closed by the Hon. Duwnie Stewart. The House then went into Committee of Supply to consider the Estimates but on the motion of the Prime Minister consideration was adjourned till to-morrow, and the House rose at 9.35 n.m. till 2.30 p.m. next day.
