WEST COAST RUGBY UNION. The usual weekly meeting of tlie above was held last evening at Greymnutli.

The New Zealand Rugby Union advised that the complaint of the Coast Union re appointment of referees for inter-provincial matches would receive attention.

It was decided to advise AVestland Sub-Union that a rep match be played at Hokitika this year, and the Secretary was instructed to get into touch with Canterbury, and make arrangements accordingly.

Arrangements for the United Club’s visit to Christchurch to play matches on Friday and Saturday next were completed, Mr J. Kyi'e to acompanv the team as manager.

Arrangements were completed for the Ashburton touring team to play Inangahua Sub-Union during the weekend.

Permission was granted to the Excelsior thirds to play United on a date to lie arranged. The following is the draw for the new senior competition: Excelsiors v. Kanieri at Hokitika; Stars v. Magpies at Grey; United a bye. United v. Magpies (Grey); Stars v. Kanieri (Hokitika); Excelsior bye. Excelsiors’ v. Magpies (Hokitika), Stars v. United (Grey's ; Kanieri bye. Kanieri v. Magpies (Grev'l ; United v. Excelsior (Hokitika) : Magpies a bye. Fixtures for next Saturday were made as follows :

Seniors.—Excelsiors v. Kanieri. at Hokitika : Stars v. Alagpics, at Victoria Park. 3 p.m., A Ground, Mr W. Williams referee.
