WESTLAND COMPETITIONS

OPENING FRIDAY NIGHT. The Westland Competitions will reopen on Friday night at the Soldiers’ Hall commencing at 8 o’clock punctually. With to-day’s issue is circulated a four page leaflet giving full particulars of the four days’ and nights’ programme. It will he seen that there will be a feast of music and elocution, and all tastes will be catered for. The Committee should he well satisfied with the entries which arc far in advance of those of last year in all sections. To-morrow the large hall will be prepared including the erection of a special stage. The seating will lie as liberal as possible in anticipation of the large attendance expected. Season tickets are now in strong demand assuring good attendance at all sessions. On Saturday. Monday and Tuesday there will lie three sessions daily—so that good value, may be had for the price of the tickets.
