The International Olympic Committees’ decision, that players are entitled to an indemnity for lost earnings, without forfeiting amateur status, jeopardise the whole of the Olympic Games, says the newspaper “Observer.” as it implies a conception of amateurism which is f: eqtmUy repudiated in Britain and will debar the Football Axociation and possibly other British authorities recognizing the Amsterdam meeting.
