HUTT ROAD TRAGEDY
CHARGE OF CAR CONYKRSTOX. WELL I NOTON. August 3. Harry Stacey and Ernest George Reid, alias Ernest Edward Harper, who were sentenced a few days ago in connection with a collision with a service car on the Hutt Road, in which the driver of the service car. Kenny, was killed were charged at the Magistrate’s Court to-day, with conversion to their own use. but not so ns to be guilty of theft, of a motor car worth £320. the property of Mr Lyons. Mr Page. SAL. sad that the charge of conversion had been previously laid in the lower Court, but adjourned on the application of counsel until the major charge had boon proceeded with in the Supreme Court. In the absence of accused’s counsel, a remand was granted until to-morrow.
