VALUABLE STAMPS.
STRASBOURG, Juno 8. The International Philatelic Exhibition. which is now (icing held here, has been attended by collectors and dealers from all over Europe. It includes postage stamp collections of a volue running into hundreds of thousands of pounds and probably the most valuable single collection in the world. Among the numerous English collections shown the most important is the collection of Cape of Goad Hope stamps belonging to Mr R. F. A. Riesco, of London, who should bring the grand gold cup to England. It is without doubt the finest collection of these interesting stamps. One of his unique blocks contains three of the ordinary Id red stamps and one erro, the -bl red. and is worth probably in-ire than £I.OOO. STAMPS SAVED FOR FRANCE. The Dutch .stamps of Mr A. .T. "Warren. of London, are well known ; while Colonel M. A. Studd. D. 5.0.. of Tuition. can hardly he excelled for a collection of Canadian stamps. The collection of M. Maurice Burrus. the president of the Exhibition Commute, is probably the most valuable collection in the world, being valued at more than half a million sterling. M. Burrus is a native of Alsace and it was his interest and patriotism that kept many stamps from the celebrated Ferrai collection in France.
