RACING DATES. THE AUCKLAND SQUABBLE. BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSN., COPYRIGHT. HAMILTON. July 3(1. Referring to the Hon R.T’. Bollard’s decision to give the Labour Day date to the Waikato Hunt, Mr A. M. Samuel, M.P. for Oliiiieinuri, said that lie sincerely trusted the Racing Clubs of the Dominion would do as the Hunt Clubs had done for some years past, and that was to help each other. There was no gainsaying the fact that the Waikato Racing Club was in a serious difficulty, and why should not the wealthy Auckland Racing Club relinquish one of its dates. Questioned as to what days are now available for the Waikato Rating Club, -Mr Samuel said that he did not know, as that Ci'ub’s original dates had already been given to Wliangaref, but undoubtedly some days could lie found in November. He added that Hon Mr Bollard should be congratulated on- the courageous.stand that he had taken. ROSEHILL RACES. SYDNEY, July 31. For the RosehiTl Races the weather was fine and the going good. Club Handicap. Rawheta (7.12) 1. .lunatic (7.0) 2, Drawbridge (7.13) 3. Twelve started. The winner came late in a great finish, winning by half a neck. Time 2.7.
