FREE STATE PRECAUTIONS. LONDON. July 2

Ihe Irish Free State Government’s new Public Safety Bill is being introduced in the Dnil Eireann on July 2(>th. It is a most drastic measure, ft provides that anyone possessing any firearms without a license, may he sentenced to death or imprisonment for life. Seditious publications may he suppressed. Newspapers will he forbidden to print information from an unlawful association. Civic guards arc empowered to effect searches and arrest without warrant, and detain suspected persons up to three months.
