The House met at 2.30 p.m. Alula i Road Water Race District Bill was introduced by Air McMillan (Taulaiiga) and read a first time. ’The afternoon sitting, was occupied with formal business and with a discussion on replies given by Ministers to members’ questions. At 7.30 Air Wiiford moved lhe second reading of the .Motor Omnibus Traffic Amendment Bill. The discussion on this ,measure lasted till 12.35 a.in. tt hen nu division the second reading was rejected by 39 1o 15 and ,JJio House rose at 12.47 a.in. till 2.30 p.m.
THE COT NCI L. The Legislative Council met at 2.30
Seven days leave of absence xf\s granted Tlon Gow and three days to linn Clark on account of illness. The Justices of the Peace Bill was received from the House and read a first time.
Captive Birds Shooting Prohibition Bill was put through flic final stages uilhout discussion and passed. ihe Council adjourned at 2.50 p.m. until 2.30 p.m. next day.
