The Chairman to move :—“That the accounts tor the month of June, 1927, as revised and recommended for payment by Iho Finance Committee. amounting to l' , he passed for payment.” 2. The Chairman to move: •"That the Council make and levy pursuant to the provisions of Sections 48—55 of the Rating Act. 1908, and its amendments, and sections 120-It!I of the Counties’ Act 1920, a General Rate as follows:--fa) —Six farthings in the 0 on the capital value of all rateable property in the Northern Riding of the County of Westi'and. (h) —Six Farthings in the £ on the capital value of all rateable property in ■ the Central Riding of the County of Westland. (e) —Six farthings in the £ on the capital value of all rateable property in the Southern Riding of the County of Westland. Such genera! rate to he for the period commenced on the Ist day of April, 1027. and ending on the .‘list day of March. 1928. and to become due and payable in one sum on the 19th day of July. 1927, at the office of the Westland County Council, Hokitika.” .'l. The Chairman to move : “That the Council make and levy pursuant to the provisions of sections 48-55 of the Rating Act. 1908. and its amendments and the provision of the Loeal Bodies’ Loans Act. 1913, and its amendments.] special rates as follows: (a) —A special rate of one penny and five-fourteenths of a pennv in the £ (annually recurring) for the special Inter-Wanganui Rating District affecting the loan of 11750 tor Petersen s Road Extension. (b) A special rate of one penny and seventeen-twenty-firsts of a penny in the l' (annually recurring) for the special Inter-Wanganui Rating District, affecting the loan of £4->0 for Petersen's Road Further Extension. (,-.) A special rate of six-seventeenths of a penny in the £ (annually recurring) for the special filter-Wanganui Rating District, affecting the loan of £405 for La Fontaine creek clearing. (d) —A special rate of six-thirty-seconds of a penny in the £ (annually recurring) for the special Southern Rating District affecting the loan of £1,500 for Kakapotahi Bridge erection. Such special rates to he for the period commenced on the Ist day of April, 1927. and ending on the 31st day of March, 1928. and to become due and payable, in one sum. on the 19th July. 1927, at the office of the Westland County Council, Hokitika.” 4. Cr. Donovan to move:—‘‘That Over. seerMillner he instructed to have Three Mile Bluff track repaired at a cost not exceeding £10.”
