golfing.
(Australian & X.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, July 14. It was an ideal golfing day. I here was little ivincT, and the greens were soft and easy, so that low scoring was general. Hudson and Cotton, both twentyyear old professionals, playing in the championship for the first time, made an excellent fight which was an unexpected as it was welcome. Hudson over six holes averaged three. A crowd of fifteen thousand followed Bobby Jones, who took three hours to complete the round. 'There were continual waits until excited people, who were .scampering on the course had been ushered to safety. Kirkwood played hold, consistent golf, going for everything that gave a reasonable chance.
