The horse's chances were particularly favoured, and the public are mystified ns to the reason for the withdrawal, as the reason is not stated in the trainer’s letter to the Victorian Racing Club. RACING APPEALS. WELLINGTON, July 15. The Judges dismissed the appeal to the Racing Conference of J. McMahon, chief stipendiary steward, against tlio decision of the Auckland District Committee in upholding an appeal lodged by M. Wells, owner of Mcmsnhib, against the decision of the Judicial Committee of Auckland Racing Club, in disqualifying Wells for twelve months in regard to the running of Memsaliib in the Hunt Club Cup. The appeal of the jockey. M r . H. Reid, rider of Mcmsnhib, against twelve months disqualification, was dismissed hv the judges.
