One of the most remarkable thunderstorms in London’s history broke out over the Thames Valiev this afternoon. There was torrential rains, and in some places hailstones piled up until flhe streets resembled a snowstorm.

The city of London was in semidarkness during the worst of the storm. Motor buses splashed through floods, and underground railways were flooded causing a stoppage of trains for an hour, lu one picture palace.
