SITTINGS AT HOKITIKA. -MONDAY, JUNE 20th. His Honour, Air Justice Adams, touk his seat at 10.30 a.in. NO CRIMINAL BUSINESS. Air James Park (Crown Prosecutor) stated that there was no criminal .business to he dealt with at the sitting, and he had pleasure, in accordance with an ancient custom oi asking his Honour’s acceptance of a pair of white gloves. • Kis Honour said lie was very glad to join in felicitating the fact of having a session without any criminal business to (ho dealt with by a jury. At Greymoutli and at Westport there was a similar occurrence so that the whole of the AVest Coast was shown to he free of that class of crime- that came before a jury, or trial. He was glad to note tihat Hokitika was exceptionally free from that class of crime.

IN BANKRUPTCY. John L. Sweeney, application for discharge. Air Murdoch for applicant. No opposition Was shown, no creditors having proved. The order was made as asked.

IN DIVORCE. Alary Ahidgwick v. Robert li. Aladgwielc, motion for decree absolute. Air Murdoch for petitioner. Decree absolute made, petitioner to have permanent custody of children. Air Park appeared in support and stated the pursuance of the directions given therein the. creditors had nbjv filed tlie necessary consent to the application. His Honour remarked that lie had perused tho papers and found the affidavits filed in support of the motion wore in order. He therefore granted tho petition in terms of .-paragraph 1 of the Company’s application.—Order accordingly.

IN CHAMBERS. In the estate of the late Henry Arnold Thompson. Motion on behalf of executor by Air Murdoch. for probate. Motion granted. In tho estate of the late Robert Goudie. Alotion by Air Murdoch on behalf of the executrix for probate. Motion granted. This concluded the business of the sitting and the Court adjourned at 10.40 a.m.
