PLAY AT SYDNEY. (Australian A N.Z. Cablo Association.] SYDNEY, June 12. Rose Ray links were the scene of the qualifying rounds in the golf championship. The New Zealanders again performed well. Duncan made in indifferent start and took forty-three to go out, but he played splendidly coming home, completing the course in 80. In the afternoon he was out in 38. and home in- 40; his grand total of 158 giving him third position. Horton also had a bad start, but finished in great style for a simihg- morning score.
