[Australian & N.Z. Cablo Association.] ARBITRATION AWARD. SYDNEY, June 7. The Federal Arbitration Court commenced hearing the case in which the claim of the Australian Workers' Union and the counter-claim of the I’astoralists’ and Graziers’ organisation for a new award in the pastoral industry arc made. A unique feature of the. case is that the pastoralists and graziers applied for a new award before the Union’s claims were made to the (* o „ r t, thus giving the employers the right to open the case, and throwing tile nutis of justifying the Unions claims on the Australian Workers’ Union. The latter organisation represents over forty thousand members, while 8377 graziers and pastoralists are concerned.

NEWCASTLE STRIKE OVER. SYDNEY. June 7. The coal trimmers at Newcastle resumed work to-day. It will be several days before the idle sliips will he able to secure sufficient coal to leave port.
